Located in the historical Nagamachi samurai district. Cobbled narrow laneways lined with historical samurai residences will take you back to Edo period Japan.
Stay in the heart of Kanazawa’s famed samurai area. Within a 5-minute walk from “Hanatsume” are several samurai residences that are open to the public. The most notable, Nomura House, has a spectacular world-famous garden and is just a 2-minute walk away.

Kanazawa’s downtown city centre, Korinbo, is 6 minutes on foot from “Hanatsume”. Come here for shopping, entertainment and cuisine. Korinbo is one of the best places to enjoy the city’s local culture.

Kanazawa Castle, Kenrokuen Garden - considered one of the most beautiful in Japan - and 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art are a leisurely stroll from home. Continue south to the mysterious Myoryuji Ninja Temple, an Edo period temple known for its secret doors and escape routes.

While Kanazawa is a fantastic walking city, these sites and more are easily accessible via bus. Several bus stops are conveniently located around “Hanatsume” machiya house.
